I had a shoebox full of heroclix sitting there since... well ever. Always wanted to give them a try but meh.
In a nutshell: Not Worth.
And I haven't even finished the model, just repainted the flesh parts (kinda reminds me of Allison's butter-ish feeling... dunno why but always thought his paint jobs look creamy).
What I've learned:
Ak paint striper just didn't work (for prepainted minis as heroclix). Hated it. Multiple baths and scratches with a toothbrush... it took way too much time and effort. Plus it did nothing to the mini but toothbrush got brittle and broke (wasted 2 toothbrushes indeed).
Nail polish remover worked better (see Raven, the white fig) but the paint was thick and it got too gummy plus the fig got softer.
Finally I used on Cyborg greenstuff World plastic cement to soften the atrocious mold lines and I bet it's pure acetone bc It heavily melted the fig (managed to control that) BUT paint arround the mold line came off liquid like it was dirty water...
I'll try greenstuff paint remover to see how it goes. BTW what's with AK interactive sausage party sense of humor? Really guys?
Paint-wise I primed with petroleum and light lagoon blue from above, both acrylic inks from MOLOTOW in order to sketch the metals.
For the skin I mixed abteilung acrylics (the ones in tubes) Think burnt umber + pastel purple + pink-ish flesh and orange glaces in the mid tones.
I have to admit to paint convincing dark skin is itself a challenge, not to say doing on the fly (no tutorials nor recipes). But paint such undefined blob of plastic... oomph! By those pics you could think it's a piece of cake but not having proper volumes (eye sockets, eye lids, and other face features) makes it undermining.
Last but not least: I love it WIP status as it is...bionic parts in blue eemindd me of old-school Cybertronic's Chasseurs (mutant chronicles).

Resulta que tenía una caja llena de heroclix de cuando Cristo perdió la alpargatas que siempre quise repintar y...nada. ahí tirados. La versión corta: no merece la pena.
Que he aprendido:
El decapante de AK ha sido una decepción. Para miniaturas, seguramente ok. Pero en concreto a estos heroclix no les ha hecho gran cosa. Un proceso arduo. Lento y poco eficiente, además ha destrozado 2 cepillos de dientes.
El quitaesmalte hacendado pues... más eficiente (contiene acetona) pero replantee la miniatura. A Raven (figura blanca) la ha dejado hecha un cristo porque de fabrica venía con 1 dedo de pintura con lo cual se ha quedado gomosa.
Al final con Cyborg usé pegamento para plástico de greenstuff World para fundir y disimular las rebabas y oh sorpresa! La pintura circundante salía como agua sucia. Borra un poco el detalle, pero bueno... probaré el decapante de GSW porque quiero algo más rápido y/o sencillo.
Por cierto, estos chascarrillos nivel Arévalo, que? Para la etiqueta de una marca "sería" no se... que lo hiciera yo, en plan venta artesanal, más cafre y tal vale, pero la silueta de la chica haciendo pole dancing para el jueguecito de striper... mmmnn... cierto es que es la opinión de un señoro opinando sobre branding de señoros así que xD
Vale, imprimación con petróleo y por encima lagoon blue pastel o light o como se llame. Son tintas (para rotus) MOLOTOW para hacer un esbozo de lo que será el metal y para ver los pobres volúmenes de la figura (atroz).
La pies es a base de acrílicos Abteilung, los que vienen en tubo como la pasta de dientes. No porque tengan "un tono mágico" estilo marrón con toques de púrpura, al revés. Para usar colores muy básicos pero de alta pigmentación y mezclar yo.
Aprox, porque no lo tengo a fuego en el coco es un sombra tostada, con un poco de violeta (pastel) un carne rosado, sienna y naranja (veladuras) para los tonos medios.
La carne oscura ya cuesta, pero con el bajo nivel de detalle de la figura, ufff... ni cuenca de los ojos, ni párpados... pintas un poco modo invent porque tiene poco detalle y modelado muy suave.
Como nota, me encantaría dejarlo azul. Me recuerda a los Chasseurs de Cybertronic (mutant chronicles).
