I tried NMM with true metals. At first it looked kinda good but found gaps here and there so I decided to slap an oil wash which kind of destroyed the subtle effects in the mid tones. I tried to bring them back tho: metallic blue, metallic purple, purple ink and green/sienna glaces. Not really sky earth Non Metallic metal but true metal with powerfully dark matt shadows and color reflections.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #999999; font-family: verdana;">It's really hard to see, even in macro (worthless you may say) but hey. Other than that and tweaking the metals it only needs the red glowing eye and gems. I might give red lights to every hole I found, not only belt buckle, eye, forehead and hand bead, but these holes in the legs and shoulders too, weapon included.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlnIA21HUbKDBATiCW9IkMOvVAF_I4m7UqmrqCiLT89P9UjcIBk0h2OH9zvoEQ7XMnIXFpkv553EwO8Bjf3bLhOfUWABinfwIcdfoxUBZGSPQucUHnQjSC7cOOhuyEClRLPeqMCu_i8GIzM8oc9Elz08sAp09CVdICn0_2O3gaYfs7qYI/s1920/20220909_020110.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1920" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlnIA21HUbKDBATiCW9IkMOvVAF_I4m7UqmrqCiLT89P9UjcIBk0h2OH9zvoEQ7XMnIXFpkv553EwO8Bjf3bLhOfUWABinfwIcdfoxUBZGSPQucUHnQjSC7cOOhuyEClRLPeqMCu_i8GIzM8oc9Elz08sAp09CVdICn0_2O3gaYfs7qYI/s320/20220909_020110.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #999999; font-family: verdana;">IIII</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #999999; font-family: verdana;">No se me da bien el NMM. BTW kinda fell into nihilistic mindset lately so hobby feels quite futile and it's not happening. </p><p>2 years ago just seeing a dog scratching his butt into the ground would have made my day. Been working on pro making molds of my miniatures, finally. Boring, time consuming and I bet it's not worth it (why might I want copies?) yet I kinda wanted to do all myself old-school using wax, wood and whatnot as I were taught instead of YouTube hacks "you've doing it wrong" kind of stuff.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">So far I have a necromutant body, a complete necromutant figure and a weapon. Hope to be finishing more necros and starting an ezoghoul model which will be a pain in the ass mould making wise.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Sorry, not much eye candy but I swear It's more involved than painting stuff. Just less interesting to look at. Had to smooth things up, do some filling etc.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">BTW the gun was almost destroyed in my 1st attempt so now its surface looks weird. I textured it to look more necrotech-ish but got uncured silicone on it and the weirdness is now accentuated. Algeroth may still approve.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Dunno what color cast them, maybe transparent or colored clear, or mixed colored clear like gummy bears... maybe pastel. Dunno.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I bet there's someone thinking "just trans like you" xD</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">||||</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #cccccc; font-family: helvetica;">No se para que me pongo a hacer copias, la verdad. O colores varios tipo gomitas? O tonos pastel?</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #cccccc; font-family: helvetica;">Seguro que alguien va a pensar "trans como tú" xD</span></p>javihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00242836231493748919noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22573646.post-6618777837531518212021-10-15T05:11:00.006+02:002021-10-16T02:16:59.992+02:00Useless Hobby Guy<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfB_xc36ASl5bZMEwD3gxmm9PkCdSn5CSDv4hC4-Nk8AwoG4SJn3rwIq3DoiLdcTCJ0Pvxo9n7ylgEEbHc45EREi3_ZlJe1UUrl2po6bnJAxxZ7HoKps8SU-DMEgDG9RIxpUQ/s2048/PicsArt_10-15-05.05.31.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfB_xc36ASl5bZMEwD3gxmm9PkCdSn5CSDv4hC4-Nk8AwoG4SJn3rwIq3DoiLdcTCJ0Pvxo9n7ylgEEbHc45EREi3_ZlJe1UUrl2po6bnJAxxZ7HoKps8SU-DMEgDG9RIxpUQ/s320/PicsArt_10-15-05.05.31.png" width="320" /></a></span></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I can't f*king believe it. <div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The most useless part of the project so far, yet the most fun. I made some background texture for the cockpit. It will be 99% covered by the pilot so... I guess that was a little scape canvas to rest my mind over. Also built a small device to hang somewhere so everything isn't just on a table.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhHR3VRJCcbbS-9IYNfHWYcFlfFTzs8WRnS4czVYHbtwMzrwWvX5qNBkm3SRF4LPGu_uEnlDxBswn-7P5_K3P9_qjjma1VOvvxtSDBpoHuMTKfl6V_OB35FECpLf9gQjh_jr0/s1600/PicsArt_06-29-09.26.33.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhHR3VRJCcbbS-9IYNfHWYcFlfFTzs8WRnS4czVYHbtwMzrwWvX5qNBkm3SRF4LPGu_uEnlDxBswn-7P5_K3P9_qjjma1VOvvxtSDBpoHuMTKfl6V_OB35FECpLf9gQjh_jr0/s320/PicsArt_06-29-09.26.33.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><i>That's the sound of the fifteens while they are hitting in my trunk.</i></span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">This is going to give the mech a military feel I guess. A bumper to prevent cockpit damage during mech to mech combat.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Rod work not much to write about. Tedious indeed. Drilled a couple holes, glued it ( baking soda + CA glue is proving super helpful in this build) and as my greenstuff world liquid green stuff tube leaked, used it to texture surfaces.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Feet done. Not shown in the picture but added texture to his "toes" as these pieces get the punishment of bumping into stuff instead of feet.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">At the end I'll be riveting things here and there but for now I call it a day! 20mm square base mini for scale.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Pies listos.
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">This project is proving (probing?) to be a real pain in the ass. Today I spent my hobby time filling gaps in the parts of my previous entry.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Then I decided body and legs/ feet needed to be distinct parts so worked some milliput putty in.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Next step was to build a pair of wheels /tracks for the back part of its feet, then power tool and file a fitting hole.</span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Finally embedded the track and added details. Sadly had time to finish just one leg :(</span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Stay tuned.</span><br />
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEippneBwV_kOw_-ckoABa53S9xlwl5aDWEVrRfTr9WU0eS99nzZSz0fWQII8CzFUsJzXwg82-MKDKXK_Sy3Ck7SuQT4-ub296DobV00_zkDQVd1kHV4YVmDYTNK4wQDKHg9f0E/s1600/PicsArt_06-25-09.41.41.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEippneBwV_kOw_-ckoABa53S9xlwl5aDWEVrRfTr9WU0eS99nzZSz0fWQII8CzFUsJzXwg82-MKDKXK_Sy3Ck7SuQT4-ub296DobV00_zkDQVd1kHV4YVmDYTNK4wQDKHg9f0E/s320/PicsArt_06-25-09.41.41.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
Hoy me he dedicado a rellenar huecos del paso anterior.</span><br />
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is the first step in a series of kitbash / scratch building diary.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The project is taking so long and such amount of steps and effort (kind of) I decided not to wait till completion and release status updates instead.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Not long ago I sculpted a rather confused looking mech pilot. This is the robot's main frame for the body (paper clip dispensed from the 90s).</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My aunt gave me this in my late teens as she knew how much I loved to hoard plastic bits. Always dreamed about making a mech out of it: decades later, time has come!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhw6gtqEWnac9ko9MPSpdAtl3Kx1Bny_Mdf1Cf-19tH6pG3F9c2JDtlP0wiAmZj59-tnoiDHCmXu37MUkgoJRQqXdTdGYCk7W571kkbgSBKVB8K5WeGOrwt2n3BJJziWui-9qQ/s1600/PicsArt_06-22-05.17.59.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhw6gtqEWnac9ko9MPSpdAtl3Kx1Bny_Mdf1Cf-19tH6pG3F9c2JDtlP0wiAmZj59-tnoiDHCmXu37MUkgoJRQqXdTdGYCk7W571kkbgSBKVB8K5WeGOrwt2n3BJJziWui-9qQ/s320/PicsArt_06-22-05.17.59.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It needs a proper back, so cut and sanded plasticard and chopped a piece from a dollar store toy to add sort of a backpack.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Next was to fill some holes here and there using bits of plastic and plasticard which I detailed scoring panel lines and gluing bits.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hope it makes any sense so far. Through next updates you'll see it shaping into (hopefully) a mech.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Cheers.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #bf9000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Ale, a disfrutar.</span></div>
