Your friendly neighbor Spider Ass

This guy is from April 2019. Wanted to try several stuff here: something in the vein of warzone cybertronic, void syntha, etc.

A heavily augmentation focused corp, where the line between man and machine is thin, although obvious to the naked eye.

Got inspired by Baal from galaxy saga (found the image on Pinterest) and also by the fact I had a transparent marble and plastic rods I wanted to use.

Building the legs and detailing them was a pain in the ass, butt (puntastic!) in the end (triple pun combo) I honestly think anyone can do this, since it's a matter of time and materials not skill and looks super cool.

IMHO the Vlad Marica artwork is excellent as it is but may try to go the opposite way colour-wise and go for an off white look.

Used glow in the dark putty for the ass piece. The idea is that the putty reacts to light so maybe  would help reflect something thru the marble from the inside.

  1. Wow! Pretty great idea using a marble like that! I like the concept of a cyberpunk "drider" as well. Half human half tachikoma or... something. Also you have my profound respect for doing all of that fiddly plasticard work. That drives me absolutely mental and I avoid it if at all possible.

I look forward to seeing it painted!

  2. Tachikoma ^^ I should revisit Masamune's work anytime soon as it great cyberpunk stuff to sink in but JoJo's ridiculously over the top epicness is giving me so many laughs I can't quit.

    It's 99% painted tho, I just can't find what he's lacking. I bet It's the marble.

I wanted something transparent but it feels like clear plastic flying bases: to me it is like leaving a part of the mini unworked surrounded by parts I spent lots of time on. It might feel more natural just painted in a green/yellow gradient as it was a power orb.

The plastic work is mental, you know right but have to admit every time invested in it makes it worth the suffering.

The test piece for the colour scheme is done so might upload it in a week or two.

    Cheers.

Me parece tremendo.

6 veces. No deja indiferente.

Dale don dole a was narisona papaaa' !! Sabrosón. :)

      Gracie bambino.

  5. ¡Bravo! Vaya bestia has creado ahí dr.

    1. Flan kenstein? El genio loco de los postres. Me gusta.

Está pintado. Y roto. Se me cayó al suelo. Gorlaaaami. Malditos bastardos!

  6. Amazing scratchbuild model, I like the horror cyberpunk style which is totally my thing. The model also has a bit of a AT-43 Therian vibe to it. Superb!

    1. AT-43... You made my day, man ;)

BTW the game is so on sale here where I live, they are almost pushing it into your bag. Always loved the looks but not sure about having another miniatures game...

    2. You see the models pop up in other games too occasionally. I've got a few Red Block mechs and a Fire Toad for my sci-fi 15mm games. The game had its flaws but was rather innovative for the time.
I think I would grab some models I like for future projects if I was in your position.
