Horizon Wars part 2 (waifu edition ' )

This is my wife's attempt at mini sculpting. 6mm (10mm grid for scale) FarmHammer 🐤 Eggsdar faction, the op force for my Space Porks.

2 heavy tanks, a combat walker, regular infantry and a heavy infantry chi-ken. WIP status, needs weaponization. Hope you like her stuff, she insists adding that it's 'her first time' whatever it means.

Nail or Fail?

  2. She's sharking us... no way this is her first sculpting ;) They're great, I love the little tractor-tank! And power armour for chickens? Of course there is.

Are you going to adapt any existing 6mm stuff (a scale I'm admittedly not too familiar with) to go with these, or scratch build it all yourselves?

    1. We are going to do it all from scratch: 5 bases each, be it infantry, tanks or mechs (no aircraft yet, sorry).

Next wave will be making a gaming Matt (or something modular) and finally some terrain.

We have no clue thought: desert, classic green lands, ruined cityscape, martian reddish kind of thing.

Can't decide what would look better for 6mm/10mm cheesy wargaming.

    1. Buff...

Deberías, soy me. Todoamedias.

  7. Hey Javi, I hope everything is vaguely okay for you over there. This feels like it's been going on forever, and at some point I lost track of what was happening in a lot of other countries. At some point I was actually pretty up on Covid stuff in Spain due to a former colleague who lives there. But now? Like everyone else I'm just nervously watching the infection rates in my own town.

    1. Thanks for caring! I'm really not in the mood for much tbh: not modelling at all almost not painting.

2 days ago I forced myself to do so.

I'm just tired. Homebound with way wife and parrot, that's 2 more screaming birds than I can actually bear 😄

Where I live it's been like psychological war for too long: economy crisis, political corruption... part of my country wants to split apart and no matter on which side you are, the wear and tear has been intense for the last years. Oh and then there's the freedom of speech. People going jail for singing stuff, that flips my wig. I'm not really a political guy but seeing people prosecution due to what they think is far beyond me.

Then world was blown away by the virus. Bear in mind 1st was china, then Italy. And here we were sitting next to them thinking it would never happen to us. Virus itself has been mankind's bane for the past year but oh my, our leaders almost took every worst decision they could. And I'm fine with that. People has their right to be wrong. But understanding it's not current government fault but everyone's. Knowing no matter who will lead us the results will most certainly the same. That erases any shade of hope. Here we have really low profile politicians on every side of it.

Work has been a pain in the ass too: the lack o it, not getting any money, then returning for two months, back to home for a month... actually I work just 2 days a week. Again, people from above you being jerks (sometimes).

That's the best and annoyingly long update I can provide.

As soon as I find some motivation I'll shot some photos to share stuff and get back to checking what virtual people I care about have been doing.

Really hope you and your fam are doing OK 😙

    2. Wow I should have checked for a reply more often... Sorry :/ I hope things maybe have improved a ... little bit? in the last few weeks? But I know we're pretty much in the same place as we were. Nothing has really changed.

Over here our gov't has somehow bungled the vaccine schedule so it looks we're going to be waiting a loooong time to get our jabs. My fam is managing... there's nowhere to go, everyone stares at tablets and phones way too much, but at least the kids are going to school, grudgingly. I _have_ been painting; if I didn't I'd go bananas because all my creative energy would be going to drawing SO MANY Pokemons for my Pokemon-obsessed son.

Yes, so tired. I hear you. 🤗😐

    3. Hey Javi 🙂. Just dropping by with a blogger wellness check. I hope you and your wife are okay. From what I can see online it looks like Spain is rolling out vaccinations now, roughly around the same schedule as we are here... May you get yours as soon as possible ☺️

    4. Harsh times pal. Thanks for caring. Really means a lot. I fear I may check your stuff now and find your level rocketed to James Wappel's.

I'm not spending time with the hobby anymore, be it painting or even attending others' blogs bit I miss it a lot.

Tons of stuff happened lately tbh but both are physically safe. My creaming parrot and she working at home ain't helping on the brains department tho 😄

Anyhow, las week I spent some time modelling and I have an awful lot of stuff to take pics and post so may I find willpower to get back to blogging.

Hope I could get past the taking pics and cropping process which always pushed me away from this.
