In times of turmoil, In times like these
Beliefs contagious, Spreading disease
This wretched mischief is now coursing through your souls,
Never to let go...
Them rats!
It's ok not to aim for your best damn paintjob everytime you sit. It's a hobby after all, something we like doing, we have fun out our time spent on.
In a nutshell, lockdown + roleplaying.
Already had the minis needed but one thing: Rats for sewer encounters so sculpted them in a couple of sittings and next day they were painted and ready. Nothing to call home about, wanted them hairy, comic looking and not boring, something hard to achieve on such small (20mm square base) and simple pieces. Tryed giving them different fur coloration but still look too samey. No regrets tho. Quick and Fun, and my players loved the run.
Writing and editing at the moment 5 posts, hopefully you'll get a new post from now on every 2 days. Stay tuned.

Dude those are creepy and cute all at the same time! Lovely work on them.
ResponderEliminarThanks :)) I hope you never get to see a fluffy rat tho, I recall a cat-sized one. Gross.
EliminarDefinitely cute!
ResponderEliminarYou should get yourself a base of vermin crawling over some skulls and bones :-)
The image of a centipede crawling out off a skull eye socket is a powerful one.
EliminarI'm taking notes on that! Appreciated!

Yeah! Centipide!
EliminarOoor...
Even yuckier...
CAMEL SPIDER!!!
(google it on youtube if you dare)
I won't. Just seeing its picture I had enough, such hideous being I don't want to see moving:

BTW I noticed it has 10 legs instead of 8, I suspect it's a scorpion (a f*kung ugly one) just called that way.
Just goggle how disguisting wounds it can cause to human leg...
EliminarLovely little sculpts! They've turned out really characterful and the paint jobs really make them pop!
ResponderEliminarThat coming from someone who sculpts his own stuff is a great compliment, thanks!!
EliminarVery cute and very appropriate for the time we live in, all huddled together in our nest.
ResponderEliminarBeautiful work!
They are so tiny it reinforced my respect for your brushwork on 15mm. So hard to deploy highlights on such small space.
EliminarThanks!
With 15mm you usually go for one or two highlights or a highlight and a wash, nothing really exciting. I usually opt to do a glaze on top of a highlight to blend it all together.
EliminarYour work on these rats is a level higher than mine though.
