Belzerach | Necromutant

Since 90s I collected everything Mutant Chronicles but minis (maybe a couple for warhammer proxies) and never had a chance to play warzone but always had in mind to make my own minis and give it a try.

Recently I bought the deceased game Mutant  Chronicles the collectible minis game for 5 creds.

It came with 6 miniatures but I couldn't care less. The selling point for me was a simple grid game system with custom dice and maybe the best army building I've ever seen: You set a point budget (3 in skirmish games) so you can buy that many things on each category bronze, silver gold. Oh. And I came with all minis stats cards so I could make my own.

I started with most iconic stuff on that universe, that are necromutants (followed by razides and nephrarites I guess) and their trademark Belzerach gun. It's WIP RN I may cast weapon and body as they are and sculptur different arms and heads for each rank.

Lots of work (sculpting each from scratch would take me less time, effort and provide more fun) for something that won't go elsewhere but from manhole to living room but I'm doing because potatoes.

I bet Demimorgana will like this one.

Catch you later.

The Green Stuff

Obey hooman!

I'm basically posting to let everyone who might care know we are still alive. Some jobs changed,  some jobs went away some good stuff happened  but for the most part it was all regular s**t.

ATM I feel short on willpower to hobby anymore not to say the social media part of it, being the writing, the pic shooting, cropping etc.

Let'smake it clear, this green stuff we decided to take care of is a time sucking machine, keen on biting and screaming. Lost all my energy getting old, I hope he turns all gray or something quieter.

I'll call it a day when it learns not to stand on my ankle and bite my brushes.

Thanks.

Horizon Wars part 2 (waifu edition ' )

This is my wife's attempt at mini sculpting. 6mm (10mm grid for scale) FarmHammer 🐤 Eggsdar faction, the op force for my Space Porks.

2 heavy tanks, a combat walker, regular infantry and a heavy infantry chi-ken. WIP status, needs weaponization. Hope you like her stuff, she insists adding that it's 'her first time' whatever it means.

Nail or Fail?

Horizon Wars X laZyMinis

Hi! Recently got Osprey publishing's HORIZON WARS rulebook (OOP AFAIK).

6mm combined arms sci-fi wargame set of rules with optional setting. I decided it will be the bacon and eggs conflict so started to sculpt 6mm piggy troopers (space porcs), tanks and mechs while wife will be doing the chicken empire or whatever it will be called.

For scale, each square is 10mm.

Hope that WIP means anything to you. Meanwhile, stay safe.

Salud!

Diary of a mech man pt 6 (the more you ignore me, the closer I get)

I'm neglecting that dude lately as my situation is weird right now. Family, work...

Measured stuff, cut the pieces that would end being shoulder pads, glued, drilled, stuck old cheap ass robot toy arms, cut the pincers and pinned / glued in position I was happy with.

Close to completion, have to cast small bits like rivets, sculpt power tubes, plating and such. Detailing at this point can be either a chore as I really wanna finish or fun distressed activity. We'll see.

Veremos.

Diary of a mech man pt 5 (the belly or the beast)

The most useless part of the project so far, yet the most fun. I made some background texture for the cockpit. It will be 99% covered by the pilot so... I guess that was a little scape canvas to rest my mind over. Also built a small device to hang somewhere so everything isn't just on a table.

Glam shot before I cram it all inside the mech and thus, fall lost forever outside human sight.

Diary of a mech man pt 4 (bump, bump, bump!)

That's the sound of the fifteens while they are hitting in my trunk.

This is going to give the mech a military feel I guess. A bumper to prevent cockpit damage during mech to mech combat.

Rod work not much to write about. Tedious indeed. Drilled a couple holes, glued it ( baking soda + CA glue is proving super helpful in this build) and as my greenstuff world liquid green stuff tube leaked, used it to texture surfaces.
