More than meets the eye

 

 

A Clash of Heroes (might & magic game) figure I had sitting arround for months. They are made of rubber and if I learned something from this is that you should take pics of your miniatures right after primming; that will help you ntice nasty mouldlines.

 

Ok. I hated this one, thematically speaking. It dame in a pack of 7 figures worth 5.95€ so those would make excelent minis at great quality (Toy store q, not dollar store q.) for less tan 1€. I used a band from a djinn and a demon's fire (forehead, looked ugy on the original mini).

 

Then used tamiya putty to give him a jeanstealer-ish appearance (mistery face) yet late I went for a more classic face and cheap brownepoxy to fill gaps Voliá, patriarc in disguise.

Un figura de Clash of Héroes (might & magic) que tenía por ahí desde hace meses. Son de goma... si algo he aprendido es que debéis hacer siempre fotos de las minis tras imprimarlas, así veréis las líneas de molde que os habéis dejado (si es que no os la trae al pairo).

 

Venía en un pack de 7 a 5.95€ y era la que menos me gustaba... así que me las apañe para convertirla en algo mas molón. Son excelentes figuras para el hobby por menos de 1 euro la pieza... calidad de juguetería, no de los chinos. 

 

 Un poco de masilla tamiya aquí y allá para darle aspecto robagenes (cara misteriosa) aunque al final opté por careto de patriarca de incógnito. Masilla marrón de los chinos para las juntas.

It's two (marines)

 

 

Well, this is the last entry in the series, I swear! Here you can ese diferente before and after my try of even things up (mostly the blue hues) In shorts termes, my 1st marine was top bright and my 2nd top dark (liked it setter bit has to brighten him up and Darién the previous entry).

 

Next stop, the twilight zo... huh, not really. But something Big is coming. Hopefully in the next few days (have to take pics yet!)

Vale, la ultima entrada al respecto, lo prometo. Diferencias entre el antes y después de intentar ecualizar los azules de mi primer marine azul claro y el segundo, me gustaba mas, oscuro. Así que a subir y bajar tones de uno y otro.

 

En la siguiente entrada, algo grande. A ver si saco fotos hoy o...maaaaañana.

it's too... (pt.2)

 

 

All hail the Space Mariachi! Painted it twice indeed; it was too dark compared to my 1st speshh mareen, so I glazed it to death in order to make him a bright guy. Tried to keep it as roguetradeish as I could.

Saluden al hermano Mariachi Espacial! Lo pinté por duplicado, ya que al ser mas oscuro que el primer marine, tuve que velarlo hasta la muerte para no perder las luces y aun así hacer el azul algo mas brillante. He intentado mantenerlo todo lo retro que he podido...

it's too... (pt.1)

 

 

I painted (and posted) this fellow time ago and now I've painted another marine I realized it was too...light. So Ive been trying to balance the blue to a darker hue. Hope you like it now better. Already have the second marine's pics. I'll upload them as soon as I crop the stuff.

Pinté (y subí) fotos de este marine hace tiempo. Ahora que tengo otro Marie este me pareció...bueno, demasiado claro. Así que he ajustado el azul a un tono mas oscuro. Espero que os guste. Tengo las fotos del otro marine, en cuanto las recorte, las subo.

Bueno. Mis disculpas a los que siguen rondando este lugar o los que llegaron por accidente y no vieron novedades...en meses. He hecho algunas (pocas) cosas pero con la mudanza, cambio de equipo, etc... A continuación, una de las primeras minis que presenté en el blog (2006) por fin, a color. 'k. A sincere apology to those who still keep visiting my blog and the one who accidentally stumbled with it too. No updates in months but by no means I stopped sculpting-painting. I just got fewer time to do so. This is a guy I showed back in 2006 when I started my blog. Now it's painted. Hop you kinda like it. Hard Rock

Well that given one isn't so hard but still it's stone. WIP of the Monkey who born out of a rock (chinese book journey to west). I've had problems with dropbox so that's why Im posting just two pics concerning "off topic" stuff. Still hope you like it. There will be news regarding other topics arround the next week. Cheers!

Bueno, no tan duro el "rock" ero aun así,es un piedrote. WIP del mono nacido de la roca, según el cuento chino (que mal suena) Viaje al Oeste. He tenido problemas con drop box por eso actualizo con esto, pero si la cosa marcha el resto de fotos de otras cosas verán la luz... ¿ la semana que viene ? Seguramente. Saludos!

Sant Jordi 13

K, St. George time. Here it's a big day. You give your "princess" a rose (grown from the dragon's blood), she gives you back a book. Free books and dragons, easily my fave day of the year.

This is part of a 4 part vignettes. Part 3 to be exact. Time ago I made part 1 where he fought a blue dragon. Back at the time he looked like a inmaculate templar. I supposed so many years later and after killing so much stuff his robes were soaked in monsters' blood, turning him reckless and full of rage. That's why now he's a little more chaotic/neutral than good, abandoning his knight's shield in favor of a second weapon as now he only care about bringing death no matter it's to dragonkind or to himself trying.

See that at the bottom ? a Vellejo's bottle tip. He's that tiny. Maybe 4 or 5 mm tall. His posse is so damn epic if you ask me... love it. The coin is 5€cents, plus a primed shot on a lollypop stick. Next week I'll be doing the dragon. Hope you liked it. Cheers!

Vale, "Sant Jordi". Un día muy popular por aquí. Relagas una rosa (nacida de la sangre del dragón) y te regalan un libro. Libros gratis y dragones, aun os preguntais porque es de mis días favoritos?

Parte de una serie de 4 viñetas, de las cuales es la 3a, la primera hace años (buscadla!) era un duelo entre un caballero mas inexperto y noble y un dragoncete azul. Tantos años matando dragones han teñido sus ropas con sangre de monstruo y envilecido su armadura, volviéndolo imprudente, impulsivo...lleno de ira. Ahora es mas caótico/neutral de ahi que abandonase su puro escuro por una segunda arma, preocupandose solo por traer la muerte a los dragones... o la suya propia.

Veis esa cosilla abajo ? la puntica de una pintura vallejo. Asi de peque es... tambien al lado de 5 céntimos o subido al palo de un pachús. Entre 4 y 5 mm de alto. La semana que viene, el dragón. Espero que os haya gustado, un saludo!
